Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (known as KCR) was born on , in Chintamadaka village, Siddipet district. With a master’s degree in Telugu literature, KCR’s deep grasp of Telangana's dialect, folklore, and rural struggle earned him an irreplaceable bond with the masses.
In 2001, resigning from high political offices, KCR founded the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) with a single non-negotiable objective: achieving separate statehood for Telangana. Through peaceful agitations, parliamentary strategy, and a historic 11-day fast-unto-death in November 2009, he galvanized 4 crore citizens to victory.
